(right) Tajh Maharaj, Marketing Assistant at bmobile, presents player of the month, Marc Borde, with a bmobile phone.Although tenth in the standings, St. Francois Nationals can proudly boast that their captain, Marc Borde has coped the bmobile Super League Player of the month in September receiving four out of six votes from the league’s Match Commissioners Borde has been instrumental in getting St. Francois out of the relegation line up and provided an upset in their game against leaders, Joe Public scoring the winning goal in the 71st minute of the game.

Technical Director of St. Francois Nationals, Glenford Waines has stated that “Marc plays in the midfield and has been an inspirational captain for the past two seasons leading the team to a very successful September performance, winning five and drawing one of our six games”

Borde came through the ranks at St. Francois Nationals youth level in the early 1990s before establishing himself on the senior team in the then National Football League at the tender age of eighteen years. He represented St. Francois for three seasons before moving to the professional league which was in its early stages of formation at that time.

Marc played for Jabloteh for a few seasons and then moved around the professional league, representing Joe Public, W Connection, Starworld Strikers, North East Stars and Rangers before moving back to his home town team in 2008.
