T&TEC’s coach and former national player Dexter Cyrus, said he is overjoyed at his team being able to capture the bmobile National Super League double, after both titles evaded them in their debut season in 2009.

The double is the fruits of our hard work and which eventually paid off.

After we were expecting to compete in the Pro League this season, we started pre-season training in January, and this gave us the edge over the other teams,” said Cyrus. Cyrus said the management made changes to facilitate improvement.

“We identified the areas we needed to strengthen and we work to improve them. We also brought in specialists trainers who were able to help with the fitness of the team. We had a strong pre-season, in which we did a lot of gym work, in addition to playing a few Pro League clubs.” He said the inclusion of the inform Keavon Neaves, was the piece the team was needing.

“We have been having problems at the centre forward position before we came to the league and we have finally completed the puzzle. This was hampering us as we were unable to put away our chances.

This has changed as Neaves has been doing the job for the team. I believe that we should win every game, and I was able to get this over to the players.” Cyrus said now they have achieved their goal of dominating the Super League, they are now looking to move up to the highest level.

“We are seriously looking to go up to the pro league next season. We have already spoken to the chairman, and everything is in the pipeline for this to take place.”
