First round winner WASA and Stokely Vale will look to maintain their 100 per cent winning record in the bmobile National Super League when they lock horns this afternoon at WASA Ground, St Joseph from 4 pm.

The “Water Boys” as WASA is known had a 2-1 win over newly promoted West Side Super Starzs for the All Sport Shield while Stokely Vale also had a 2-1 win over visiting St Francois Nationals in its opener.

The two other first round winners, 1976 FC Phoenix and Club Sando Giants will also be keen to maintain their winning starts to the campaign. Phoenix, coming off  a 3-1 home win over promoted Eagles United will be away to the other promoted club, Real Maracas at Maracas Recreation Ground, St Joseph, from 4 pm while Giants will entertain West Side Super Starzs at Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella from 4 pm.

In the day’s other match, former league champion bmobile Joe Public comes up against St Francois Nationals at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya. This year, a new league and knockout champion will be crowned, as last year’s winner T&TEC  has since joined the Digicel T&T Pro League.

This year, the ten clubs will be competing for an increased prize package of $150,000 for the winner, $25,000 more than last year. The league runner-up and third placed clubs as well as the top two knockout teams will also each receive increased monetary prizes. In addition,  a new tournament, the Christmas Cup (subject to name change) has been added to the fray.
