Handel Manswell scored the only goal for Real Maracas in the promoted team’s surprise 1-0 away win over the All Sport Shield winners WASA FC in the bmobile National Super League, yesterday.
In the late match which was played at the WASA Ground in St Joseph, Maracas jumped to seven points, levelling with three other teams - 1976 FC Phoenix, Stokely Vale and Club Sando Giants.
The former Caledonia midfielder, Manswell scored the lone goal in the 20th minute to drop WASA to their first loss of the season.
Earlier, West Side Super Starzs which started the day at the bottom of the table, recorded their first points in the league following a deserved 2-0 win over St Francois Nationals at the Hasely Crawford Stadium training field, Mucurapo.
Sheldon Taylor opened the scoring in the eighth minute which was followed by a strike in the 41st minute by former Defence Force striker Levi Serries.

Joe Public whipped Eagles United 2-0 on Monday last, at the Marvin Lee Stadium in Macoya, to move up to second spot in the bmobile National Super League.
Action was in Round Four, with Joe Public getting strikes from Jamel Lewis, courtesy a free-kick in the 21st minute, and Robby Sookhai in the 68th.
The other four matches in the Round took place on Wednesday, with leaders WASA having their 100-percent run halted by a 1-0 loss to Real Maracas. At the WASA Ground in St Joseph, the visitors prevailed after Handel Manswell notched the lone item in the 20th.
West Side Super Starz registered their first win of the season, a 2-0 result over St Francois Nationals at the Hasely Crawford Stadium’s Training Field, Mucurapo.
Sheldon Taylor (eighth) and Levi Serries (41st) were the goal-getters for Super Starz.
And, at the Plymouth Recreation Ground, hosts Stokely Vale got an 83rd minute leveller from Rundel Winchester to earn a 1-1 draw with Defence Force, who went ahead in the 22nd courtesy Keston Williams.
In Wednesday’s other match-up, Club Sando (who changed their name from Club Sando Giants) played to a goalless draw against 1976 FC Phoenix at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella.
Match Day Four action will be contested on July 13.
