TRINIDAD AND Tobago Under-17 captain and midfielder Duane Muckette netted a double as FC Santa Rosa edged The Harvard Club 3-2 in a Group “A” Under-17 clash as Match Day Five action in the National Youth Football League continued yesterday.
Muckette got his name on the scoresheet in the 25th and 41st minutes, while Kerdell Chairman added one in the 40th to see Santa Rosa extend their unbeaten run to five matches.
Joshua Ramdoo (20th) and Kafari Williams (81st) were the goal-getters for Harvard.
Eagles United are in second spot in the group, after pipping Queen’s Park 1- 0 courtesy a Nicholas Halls’ item in the 79th.
In Group “B”, Club Sando failed to overtake West Side Super Starz FC (who were on a bye) for the top spot as they fell 2-1 to Joe Public.
Kiel Rebeiro put Sando in front after 10 minutes but Dwayne Calliste proved crucial for Joe Public with a double, in the 17th and 68th.
Cap Off Youths eased past Tunapuna Titans 3-1 in the other Group “B” encounter. Deon O’Garro (17th), Romario Blackette (19th) and Jason Phillip (62nd) found the back of the net for Cap Off while Tevin Jordan (36th) got Tunapuna’s consolation.
