Vibe CT 105 W Connection’s St Lucian defender Elijah Joseph is doubtful to be here for his team’s Courts Pro Bowl final against Superstar Rangers on Friday.
The 32 year old veteran W Connection defender was rushed to his homeland yesterday because of his ailing father. However Elijah was only in time to witness the passing of his father.
According to W Connection’s President, David John Williams, Elijah’s father passed away just fifteen minutes after Elijah’s arrival.
Mr. Williams now vows to win the Courts Pro Bowl title for his long standing player saying, “Elijah has been with us from the very beginning. He was a foundation member when W Connection began in 1999 and has always been a committed member.”
“In an earlier statement I made, I said that we we’re going to win this tournament for Jan Michael Williams, but now we are going to win this for Elijah,” he promised.
Goalkeeper Jan Michael Williams pulled off a spur of brilliance to lead the ‘Savonnetta Boys’ to the courts Pro Bowl Final.
The W Connection President went on to add that Elijah Joseph is expected to return tomorrow night and he is very willing to play.
“Elijah is scheduled to return tomorrow night. He wants to play in the final on Friday. This would be his 22nd final representing our Club and he really wants to be part of it,” he said.
But it is not certain whether or not the veteran defender would be listed by Coach Stuart Charles Fevrier in Friday’s final against Superstar Rangers.
“I am sure he wants to play and that’s why he is returning tomorrow but I can’t confirm that he would,” said the W Connection Owner.
Williams was certain of one thing though, “One thing I am certain of is that we would have one minute of silence before the match and iur team will be wearing black armbands against Rangers in the final in honor of the passing of Elijah’s father,” he concluded.
W Connection are scheduled to face Superstar Rangers on Friday night at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium in the final of the Courts Pro Bowl.
