New Goderick Alfred Cup Champion, Bon Accord Government, and Windward Champion, Charlotteville Methodist, completed the semifinal lineup of the MILO Tobago Primary School Football League, with victories in their rescheduled quarterfinal matches on Monday.
The matches were originally slated to play last Thursday but was postponed because of rain. Bon Accord defeated Scarborough Roman Catholic 2-0 at the Dwight Yorke Stadium.
Jokiah Leacock gave Bon Accord the lead on the stroke of halftime and Javon Williams sealed victory midway in the second half.
Charlotteville defeated Mason Hall Government 7-2 becoming the first Windward school to advance to the semi-finals in four years.
Shaffie McKenzie’s hat-trick and Kerri McDonald’s double lead the way for Charlotteville who also got goals from Konnel Jacob and Jullan Antoine.
Mason Hall got their consolation items from Jahidi Williams and Bobby Hall. Bon Accord will tackle Charlotteville in the second boys semifinal today at the Dwight Yorke Stadium along with the other semifinal matches in both divisions.
Action kicks off when 2008 girls champion, Mason Hall Government, tackles Patience Hill Government.
Following that match, St Andrews Anglican teams will battle both defending league champions, Montgomery Government, the two-time winner, first then the reigning boys champion, Whim Anglican.
All semifinal winners will advance to the league finals as well as the round of 16 stage of the Atlantic National Primary Inter-school League. Admission is free to members of the public.
