Not only will football fanatics be able to watch the Soca Warriors in action exclusively on TV6 but viewers will also get a chance to drive away in a Hyundai Tucson as the country's leading station launched a competition for big prizes as World Cup fever continues to spread.

TV6 officially kicked off its campaign on Wednesday at a press conference at TGI Fridays, Port of Spain.

TV6 marketing officer Nadine Hall said that the competition runs for 16 weeks starting from April 17 and takes the form of a weekly question based on World Cup action.

There will be two modes of entry-either text to win or submit an entry form which will be available in the Express Newspaper.

The grand prize is a fully loaded Hyundai Tucson from TV6 Gold sponsor Neal and Massy motors.

Courts director of Marketing Cindy Gatt said the second prize winner would feel as though he/she was in the stadium in Germany with a 56-inch colour HDTV.

The third place winner will eat and drink at TGI Fridays.

There will also be weekly prizes of televisions and DVD recorders for the 16 weeks from Courts.

Representatives of the major sponsors of the competition-Neal and Massy, Teleios Systems Ltd, Courts and TGI Fridays all expressed pleasure and excitement to be a part of the World Cup action with TV6.

The excitement and football frenzy took off on Wednesday at the grand launch as TSTT gave one lucky person- Sunita Gopaul, marketing officer at the Ministry of Health, an opportunity to travel to and support the Soca Warriors in Germany.
