The former West Indies football team player Len Leggard passed away while attending church last night. He was 80 years old.
Reports indicate Leggard was at the St Michael's Anglican Church, Diego Martin, when he died of an apparent heart attack.
Leggard represented the West Indies football team on a 1959 tour of England.
Leggard played in the outside right position for the West Indies team, which included the likes of Alvin Corneal and Willie Rodriguez.
A former Colts player, Leggard played for the north team that overturned a 3-nil deficit to beat south 5-3 in a Red Cross game.
