Na­pari­ma Col­lege strength­ened its chances of re­tain­ing the Pre­mier­ship Di­vi­sion ti­tle of the Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League (SS­FL) by de­liv­er­ing a lethal blow to hearts of St An­tho­ny's Col­lege Tigers 3-2 at West moor­ings on Wednes­day.

Sig­nal Sec­ondary School has been at­tempt­ing to make a re­turn to the top-flight Pre­mier Di­vi­sion of the Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League (SS­FL) and they stand a very de­cent chance of achiev­ing it.

Na­pari­ma Col­lege is sev­en games, or maybe eight due to post­poned match­es, away from suc­cess­ful­ly de­fend­ing its Pre­mier Di­vi­sion ti­tle in the Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League (SS­FL).

East Mu­cu­rapo climbed one spot up the stand­ings in the Pre­mier­ship Di­vi­sion of the Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League (SS­FL) to fourth af­ter a soli­tary goal by Ja­heim Patrick, as ear­ly as the sec­ond minute earn them a vic­to­ry over San Juan North Sec­ondary at Fa­ti­ma Col­lege Ground on Wednes­day.

With ei­ther three or four rounds of match­es to go in the Cham­pi­onship Di­vi­sion of the Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League (SS­FL), no teams are sure of clinch­ing the top spot in their re­spec­tive zones, to qual­i­fy them for a place in the play-off at the end of the sea­son.

It was a day full of dra­ma for three teams on Sat­ur­day, among them reign­ing cham­pi­ons Na­pari­ma Col­lege who dropped two vi­tal points against Pleas­antville Sec­ondary as ac­tion in the Pre­mier­ship Di­vi­sion of the Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League (SS­FL) con­tin­ued at var­i­ous venues across the coun­try.

It could be a ma­jor toss-up for the sec­ond and third po­si­tions in the Pre­mier Di­vi­sion of the Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League (SS­FL) as the cur­rent sec­ond-place hold­ers Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege (San Fer­nan­do) is on a bye on Sat­ur­day.
