The race for the BG T&T/FCB Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Premier Division league title will be decided on the final day of the competition tomorrow after St Anthony’s College defeated Chaguanas North Secondary 6-1 to move up to second place on the 14-team standings with 27 points, just one point behind current leaders Naparima College.

The Westmoorings Tigers led 3-0 at the half with Andrew Rullow scoring the first of his three goals to get the home team on their way. Rullow scored two more goals in the second half while Kwesi Allen, Matthew Woo Ling and Jules Lee also got onto the scoresheet. Chaguanas North’s lone item came from attacking midfielder Cassim Kellar.

The victory for the Westmoorings Tigers keep their title hopes alive heading into the final round of matches when they face cellar-placed East Mucurapo Secondary. For the Tigers to clinch the league crown, they will have to win their final match and hope Naparima College lose or are held to a draw against mid-table Shiva Boys Hindu College in their final round fixture tomorrow.
