Only 20 teams are left in this year's CocaCola Intercol competition.
On Tuesday, a Zion Mc Cleod double on either side of halftime gave East Mucurapo a 2-0 victory over next-door neighbours Fatima College in the first game of a North Zone double-header at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Mucurapo.
That win sets up a date with St Mary’s College in the semis on Friday.
Also booking a semifinal spot against Malick Secondary was St Anthony’s College, who defeated Tranquility Secondary 8-1 in yesterday's second game at the Stadium.
Jaheim Mc Fee led the goal splurge withs five items while Kahim Thomas, Kiron Manswell and Sowande Preito also found the net for the Westmoorings-based Tigers.
At the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium meanwhile, Pleasantville Secondary needed penalties to get past Moruga Secondary.
The two were locked at 1-1 after regulation time with Moruga getting their goal from Mont Zion Bain and Pleasantville Theon Marcano. In the shootout, Pleasantville walked away with a 3-0 win and will face zonal and national champions Naparima College in the semifinal.
In the other encounter, Presentation College got second-half goals from Jardell St Clair and Akeem Jacob in a 2-0 victory over Point Fortin Secondary. They will now take on St Benedict's College in the other south semifinal.
Over in Tobago, Singal Hill Secondary also needed a penalty shootout before they prevailed 3-2 over Pentecostal Light and Life Foundation. The boys from the 'Hill' had taken a 1-0 lead when Quincy Winchester scored in the 6th minute but Pentecostal Light and Life equalised ten minutes later through Ryan Campbell. Neither teams could find another goal before the end of regulation time and Signal Hill took ascendency in the shootout. Signal Hill will now meet Goodwood Secondary in the semifinal.
Jaheim Harry also got the lone goal for Scarborough Secondary in a 1-0 win over Bishop's High School. They will now battle Speyside High in the semifinal.

ST ANTHONY’S and East Mucurapo were victorious yesterday, in their respective Coca Cola Intercol North Zone quarter-finals, at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo.
In the latter of back-to-back matches, St Anthony’s trounced Tranquillity 8-1, following East Mucurapo’s 2-0 win over Fatima.
St Anthony’s will now turn their attention towards Malick, who they will meet in the semi-final round on Friday, while East Mucurapo will face St Mary’s, also on Friday.
In the South Zone quarter-final double-header, at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium in Marabella, Pleasantville needed kicks from the penalty spot to oust Moruga 3-0, after the scores were locked at 1-1 at the end of regulation time, and Presentation San Fernando cruised past Point Fortin East 2-0.
Both Pleasantville and Presentation San Fernando will be back in action next Tuesday, in the semi-final stage – Pleasantville will oppose reigning national Intercol champs Naparima and Presentation San Fernando will tackle St Benedict’s.
There was also a pair of quarter-final matches in the Tobago Zone.
In the opening match at Plymouth, Signal Hill defeated Pentecostal Light and Life 3-2 in a penalty shootout, after a 1-1 regulation time scoreline, while Scarborough pipped Bishop’s High 5-0.
The Tobago semis will be staged on Monday, with Signal Hill battling Goodwood and Scarborough facing Speyside.
The Zonal semi-finals will begin today, with a double-header in the Central Zone.
Chaguanas North will meet Miracle Ministries from 3 pm, at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva, followed by the clash between Carapichaima East and Couva East.
