The availability of repeaters playing in the 2004 BG T&T Secondary Schools Football League will not have too much of an effect on the North Zone when the league resumes today.
Most of the teams will be relying on the squads they began the season with, and those expecting players will just have one or two additions.

Defending North Zone champions St Anthony's College will likely see two repeaters from last year, striker Akil De Freitas and midfielder Hans Rogers-who were on and off the bench last season-play their first match as they take up the mantle from their younger teammates against CIC at their ground on Serpentine Road.

Fatima College have a single addition up their sleeve for their assignment at home against Morvant/Laventille in Kierron Marin, who may well be in to assist young Chad De Freitas, who is just 14, but is proving to be Fatima's biggest asset thus far.

Midfielder Makesi Lewis, who sustained a serious cut over his eye in their 2-1 victory over Mucurapo last Saturday, will likely occupy the bench for the duration of today's match, as the injury has not fully healed.

St Mary's College also have a couple of players coming in to bolster their squad.

One is Miguel Awai, who played for QRC last year, but he is not expected to play until Saturday. The other player, Stephen Haqq, is still out with a knee injury, but has begun training with the squad.

Meanwhile, Malick Senior Comprehensive should be a handful today when they take their same squad into battle against Mucurapo.

"Compre" are without new players as well, but the match is expected to be a good contest.

QRC and Tranquillity will also field unchanged squads at QRC Ground as the home team attempt to move ahead of CIC in the standings, while "Tranquil" try to grab their first point of the season.

In the East Zone, play continues today with defending champs Arima Senior Comprehensive taking on El Dorado at home, while current league leaders St Augustine Senior Secondary try to extend their lead when they tackle Valencia High at their Gordon Street ground.

And St George's College will do battle away to San Juan for third spot behind St Augustine and Arima, while Barataria will try to pick up their first points from Hillview College at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya.

All matches in the North and East zones begin at 4 p.m.
