Troy Lindsey converted penalties for San Juan Secondary Composite to score a somewhat surprising 2-1 win over El Dorado Secondary Composite in the British Gas Secondary Schools Football League’s East Zone yesterday at El Dorado.

Lindsey got the goals in each half, after some poor defending from the “El Do” boys.
The first goal came after Lindsey was brought down on the right side of the penalty box, after he got past two defenders.
The second resulted from the handling of the ball by a San Juan player.
Keston Henry scored for the “Blue Thunder” El Dorado team in the 19th minute.
In another feature match in the East Zone, St Augustine Senior Comprehensive — the “Green Machine” – scored a 4-0 home win over Barataria Secondary Composite.
After a goalless first half, the “Green Machine” got into gear to run past Barataria, behind the scoring of national Under-17 player Shastri Spencer, who added two goals to his season’s tally in the 60th and 77th minutes.
Spencer had done the double in the team’s opening 2004 match against rival side Arima Senior Comprehensive last Thursday.
Devon Maxwell (72nd minute) and Shurlan Sorrillo (82nd) got a goal each.
In other East Zone matches, Arima Senior Comprehensive and Hillview College were victorious over Valencia High School and St George’s College respectively.
Arima drubbed Valencia 4-1 and Hillview beat St George’s 2-0.
Action in the zone will continue on Thursday.
Matches in the Tobago Zone which were scheduled to start yesterday were postponed to Saturday, due to the effects of hurricane Ivan.
