The visitors, led by their in form marksman Darryl Trim and Nariel Wilson, got the better of Naparima by a 2–1 margin as they claimed title number three.

In addition, this marked their sixth national intercol title and tenth overall, as they claimed the record for the school with the most national titles, leaving Naps on nine.

Signal Hill, who enjoyed the better of the first half, broke the deadlock in the 17th minute, compliments of a Nariel Wilson strike. The visitors went into the break with the 1–0 advantage. Naps, who started the second half with more fight, got their reward when Anthony Parris gave them the equaliser in the 65th minute.

However, the Tobago unit got the winner seven minutes after when Trim most fittingly found the back of the net to seal the deal. The Tobago side’s leading scorer this season sent their supporters into a frenzy, as he broke the hearts of the Naparima team and their supporters with his 72nd minute strike.

Earlier in the season, Signal Hill claimed the Tobago Zone League crown, before dethroning Mason Hall to take the zonal Intercol title.

Naparima, who have won the national title six times, suffered their fifth defeat in the finals, and second in a row, after they went down to El Dorado in the final last season.

Signal Hill were victorious in the 1982, 1987, 1988, 1989 and 1995 competitions while Naparima were vying for their seventh Intercol title.

In the earlier game at Marabella, national Under-17 midfielder Kayla Taylor was the goal-getter, in the eighth minute, as Debe High pipped Roxborough 1-0 to claim a hat-trick of Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Girls Championship crowns.
