Women’s League Football (WoLF) is back. The highest level of the local women’s game will have its formal opening today at the St Mary’s College Ground kicking off from 10.30 a.m. with the parade of the teams and seven-a-side competition.

The competition this year will feature only a league format due to the later-than-usual start, however the zonal divisions that were implemented last year due to the Women’s Premier League was dropped in favour of the two-tiered format which was primarly used before.

This year will feature 15 teams between a Super League and First Division, with the former featuring some of the best and most established clubs in the country. Jinelle James, administrator of the WoLF explained the rationale behind the change this year.
