ZOEY SWIFT and Shanisa Camejo scored second-half strikes to guide the Trinidad and Tobago Under-17 football team to a 2-0 win over North Coast United on Saturday in the Lucky Bakery-sponsored National Women’s Super Football League.
The game was the second game of a Round One double-header at the Barataria Oval.
Swift found the back of the net in the 58th minute while Camejo sealed the triumph in the 87th.
In the earlier match, Real Dimension edged Defence Force 1-0 with veteran playmaker Tasha St Louis on target in the 25th.
On Friday, San Juan Jabloteh earned a 3-0 default victory over Edinburgh 500 while Arima Giants trounced Tunapuna Titans 5-1, courtesy of a double from Jinelle Jack (10th and 53rd) and one apiece from Ashley Mark (33rd), Joeleen Smith (55th) and Asha Charles (78th).
And Malick City were held to a 1-1 draw by Trincity Nationals, also on Friday — Janette Wilson put Malick in front in the 19th minute before Shanelle Warrick equalised 10 minutes later.
