Organisers have booted Edinburgh 500 out of the Lucky Bakery Women's Football League after five rounds of matches.
"They are bringing the League into disrepute," organiser Louis Charles said yesterday. "They have defaulted three matches. Arima paid $1,100 to prepare a ground and they never showed up."
The latest development has kept the National Under-17 women's team atop the standings.
San Juan Jabloteh would have been top after whipping Defence Force 4-0 on Monday via a Kenya Cordner brace (55th & 60th) and additional goals from Franca Bateau (58th) and Sicrisse Arthur (60th). It would have been their fifth win of the season, but the points gained from their default win over Edinburgh 500 have been removed.
The latest league standings show the National Under-17s top with 13 points from five matches, San Juan Jabloteh have a maximum 12 points from four matches, and Real Dimension are third with 11 points from five matches.
"We have made all the matches played by Edinburgh 500 null and void and have changed the standings," Charles said.
