National defenders, Anastasia Prescott and Patrice Superville were among the goalscorers as Malick City blanked Defence Force 4-0 in the Lucky Bakery-sponsored National Women’s Super League at Barataria Oval on Wednesday. Ashley Alonzo and Janette Wilson added the other goals for Malick City which climbed to fourth on the league table with 12 points from seven matches, seven adrift of leaders’ Adams’ Construction San Juan Jabloteh.
Second is T&T Under-17s with 17 points followed by Water One Real Dimension, with 15. Today, the league will continue with a double-header at Barataria from 5 pm. In the opener, Defence Force, sixth on the nine-team table will be hoping to get back to winning ways when it faces Tunapuna Titans, which is coming off its first win of the season. Two hours later at the same venue, Malick City meets Arima Giants.
