Damian Manning and Kenvern Lovelace were both on target as struggling Tobago Football Association Premier Division club, Georgia FC upstaged Mason Hall Police Youth Club 2-0 in their FA Trophy first round at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet on Thursday.

With the win, Georgia set up a round-of-16 clash against Youth Stars United, which was one of six clubs on first round byes.

Also advancing on Thursday were Northside, Signal Hill and Bethel United. In the second match at Bacolet, Jason Surrey and Akiel Scott netted for Bethel in its 2-0 shut out of Golden Lane.

At the Plymouth Recreation Ground, Omale Jackson, Keshon Marcelle and Garvin Adams got a goal each for Signal Hill in a narrow 3-2 triumph over Goodwood while Northside won 4-3 on penalty-kicks after a 0-0 draw with Mt Grace.

There are two remaining first round matches which will feature Roxborough Lakers against Leeds United and Lambeau FC versus Charlotteville Unifiers to be played on September 30, after which the second round will begin on October 1.

The winner of the FA competition will collect $20,000 while second gets $10,000 and third, $7,000. St Clair Coaching School which faces Hills United in the round-of-16 on October 1 won the title last year.
