St Clair’s Coaching School whipped Charlotteville Unifers by nine goals to retain the Tobago Football Assocation FA Cup at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet on Friday night.

A beavertrick by Man of the Match Keno Proctor paced the Carnbee-based outfit to the victory and ensured the trophy remained in St Clairs’s hands.

The 25-year-old struck in the 16 minutes and again in the 49th, 88th and the 90th minute. The Moriah resident thrilled the fans with his excellent skills and speedy runs that left the Unifiers defenders in his wake and established himself as the obvious choice for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.

The Bertille St Clair-coached team showed its intention early when captain Carron Williams netted in the second minute.

The in form striker collected the ball from Anderson Taylor and beat goalkeeper Tyrone Brown with a simple tap in. Taylor ensured he got into the onslaught with a hat-trick (28th, 29th and 55th).

His first goal was brilliant, as he dribbled past the Charlotteville defence and passed off the ball only to collect it again and smash it into the back of the net.

Vernon Wilson was also among the goal netters in the 71st minute. The league leaders collected $20,000 the first prize and the third title for the year. Charlotteville took home $10,000. Speaking after the victory Williams thanked the players for working together.

“It was a team effort. Everyday we trained hard and we came together.” Williams added the unbeaten run in the season was a confidence booster coming into the game.

Meanwhile Proctor was thankful to God for health and strength. He praised his teammates for support. “When the team plays well the goals are simpler to score,” he said.

The former Signal Hill Secondary player has been in terrific form scoring 22 goals in14 matches and is now looking forward to a trial with MSL side Philadelphia Union in January in 2012.

“I am looking forward to it and hopefully play with my friend Keon Daniel,” he said. Uriah Palmer netted a double to lead Youth Stars to third place over 1976 FC Pheonix by two goals to nil.
