San Fernando Giants followed up a 2-1 win over Harlem Strikers on April 28, by slaying another of the Trinidad and Tobago Premier Football League (TTPFL) Tier Two leaders on Saturday, when defeating Guaya United 1-0 .

Victory was secured via a late goal from soon-to-be 40 year-old Andrei Pacheco, the hard-kicking former W Connection and Trinidad and Tobago national team midfielder, who scored two minutes into second half added-on time.

The win stopped Guaya from taking a clear lead in Tier Two. They are still joint leaders with Harlem Strikers, both on 25 points, with Guaya having played a match less. Giants, one of the traditional long-standing clubs in T&T, moved up from seventh to fifth spot.

Meanwhile, Shem Clauzel scored a hat-trick, including a penalty, as Defence Force II moved up to third spot (24 points) after whipping Police 11 by a 5-0 margin in midweek.
