Women’s Gold Cup qualifying series opened on Wednesday at the Georgetown Cricket Ground in host Guyana when Suriname faced St Vincent and the Grenadines in the opening Caribbean Group A match.
There will be 17 teams in five groups, vying to be the two Caribbean representatives to the six-team CONCACAF Women’s Gold Cup in late October or early November.
Apart from Suriname, StVincent and Guyana in Group A, the other first-round groups will be comprised of Trinidad and Tobago, St Kitts and Nevis, Puerto Rico and Dominica in Group B in Puerto Rico March 17-21; Antigua and Barbuda, US Virgin Islands and St Luica in Group C in Antigua March 12-16; Cuba, Haiti, Dominican Republic and Turks and Caicos Islands in Group D in the Dominican Republic, March 26-30; and Barbados, Anguilla and Grenada in Group E in Barbados, March 28-April 1.
The five group winners plus the three best runners-up will advance, from which the top four teams will qualify for the Central American and Caribbean Games in July in Puerto Rico.

First Round - GROUP A: At Georgetown, Guyana - March 3 - Suriname vs St Vincent and the Grenadines.

GROUP B: At Puerto Rico - March 17 - Trinidad and Tobago vs St. Kitts and Nevis; Puerto Rico vs Dominica.
March 19 - St Kitts and Nevis vs Dominica; Puerto Rico vs Trinidad and Tobago.
March 21 - Trinidad and Tobago vs Dominica; Puerto Rico vs St Kitts and Nevis.
GROUP C: At Antigua and Barbuda - March 12 - Antigua and Barbuda vs US Virgin Islands.
March 14 - US Virgin Islands vs St Lucia.
March 16 - Antigua and Barbuda vs St Lucia.
GROUP D: At Dominican Republic - March 26 - Cuba vs Haiti; Dominican Republic vs Turks and Caicos.
March 28 - Turks and Caicos vs Haiti; Dominican Republic vs Cuba
March 30 - Cuba vs Turks and Caicos; Dominican Republic vs Haiti
GROUP E: At Barbados - March 28 - Barbados vs Anguilla.
