Trinidad and Tobago Under-17 women footballers will begin their quest for qualification to the CONCACAF Under-17 Championship.

The “Soca Princesses” have been pooled in Group “B” along with Dominica and St Kitts/Nevis with matches to be played in Trinidad. Dates and times for matches in this group are still to be announced.

The play-offs are one of four first-round group games that will be played next month.

A release yesterday showed Group “A” action scheduled for Nassau Bahamas while Group “C” action will be played in Georgetown Guyana from August 17-21.

In addition to the Guyanese, Group “C” will also comprise Curacao and Anguilla while the Dominican Republic will be the host for Group “D” to feature Aruba and Jamaica from 24-28 August.

The top team from each group will advance to a second group stage from which three will qualify for the eight-team CONCACAF finals next year.

Among the finalists will be the USA, Canada and Mexico as well as two other Central American teams.

CONCACAF will send three teams to the Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan from September 12- October 13, 2012.
