FIRE SERVICE FC kept their lead intact in the Central Football Association (CFA) Premier League, even though they were held to a 2-2 draw by Enterprise Youths on Friday last.

At the Edinburgh 500 Recreation Ground, Fire raced to a 2-0 lead with items from Kevon Cornwall in the 10th minute and Michael Hospedales in the 12th. 

But Darell McDonald trimmed the lead in the 25th and Akil Nichols netted the equaliser in the 55th. 

Second-placed Leeds FC took care of Carapichaima Playmakers FC 2-0 in the latter game of a double-header on Thursday at the New Settlement Recreation Ground. Dillon Thomas got both goals, in the 45th and 90th minutes. 

In the earlier game on Thursday, Central Soccer World hammered Inter-National Connection FC 4-0 with two goals apiece from Jeron Francis (fifth and 16th) and Micah Crooks (50th and 61st). 

And, on Saturday, at the Couva Recreation Ground, Perseverance United FC defeated Perseverance Ball Runners FC by a 2-1 margin. 

David Maloney broke the deadlock for Perseverance Ball Runners, in the 13th, but Perservance United equalised through Akil London in the 28th and got the winner from Malcolm Nedd in the 54th.
