The No. 23 ranked Charleston men's soccer team out shot visiting Shepherd 18-9 en route to a 1-0 WVIAC victory, Saturday afternoon.

Golden Eagles leading scorer Dion Peters (Trincity, Trinidad / EL Dorado Secondary) put UC on the board just 2:28 into the contest and the score would hold up as the only offense needed on the day. Leading assist man and team captain Rob Vincent (Liverpool, England / Prescot School) was credited with his sixth assist on the Peters goal.

University of Charleston goalkeeper Sean Teepen (Cincinnati, OH / Oak Hills High School) collected seven saves to grab his seventh shutout of the season.

Charleston returns to action on the road for its final conference game of the season against Ohio Valley at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, October 26.
