Furman junior Fabien Vorbe was named to the All-Southern Conference First Team while midfielder Dane Roberts and goalkeeper Alec Kann garnered second team honors, it was announced on Wednesday by the league office.  Michael Gandier and Jacob Brown each earned a spot on the SoCon All-Freshman team.

Vorbe, a native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, has registered four goals in just 14 matches so far this season to help the Paladins to a 9-6-4 overall record and share of their 19th Southern Conference regular season title.  He netted game-winners against East Tennessee State, Detroit and Appalachian State to lead Furman in goals despite missing four matches while on international duty with Haiti at the Caribbean Cup.

Kann, a junior, has started every match this season and recorded six shutouts as the Paladins have surrendered just 18 goals in 19 matches.  The Decatur, Ga., native has posted a 0.82 goals against average and .778 saves percentage.  Roberts, a senior from Ajax, Ontario, Canada, has added two assists from his wide position in the midfield.

Gandier has made an immediate impact in the Furman midfield starting 14 matches while adding two goals and one assist as a freshman.  Brown, a redshirt freshman, has helped anchor a Paladin back line earning 18 starts at right back.

No. 2 seed Furman (9-6-4) will travel to Mt. Pleasant, S.C., to face No. 6 seed Davidson in the second of two semifinals on Friday night at the Patriots Point Athletics Complex.  Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. with the winner to advance into Sunday's championship match against the winner of Friday's Appalachian State versus UNC Greensboro contest.

The Paladins played to a scoreless draw with Davidson on October 12, at Stone Stadium.  Furman leads the all-time series with the Wildcats 26-21-2.
