University of Charleston men's soccer star Dion Peters has been named the WVIAC Player of the Week, as announced by the league office.
Peters propelled the Golden Eagles to first place in the WVIAC standings, helping the team to a 2-0 week. In the victory at Alderson-Broaddus, Peters totaled two goals. At Shepherd, he notched two goals and assisted on another leading the Golden Eagles to a 5-1 win.
Peters’ performance allowed UC to win the WVIAC regular season as the team currently stands at 7-1 in league action with one conference match left to play.
The UC men's soccer team will be back in action for a Senior Day contest against Ohio Valley to close out league play and the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 1:00 pm.
