Hughtun HectorTrinidad and Tobago international midfielder Hughtun Hector has joined Vietnamese 2011 champions Song Lam Nghe An on an eight month loan deal according to a release by Pro League club W Connection.

W Connection has been notably without the 27 year old standout playmaker for their last few games as the club sought to enhance the player’s financial future in the game.

The release went on to add: “Hector is well known for offensive creative ability and goal scoring as a midfielder, a skill which the V-League champs quickly recognized and secured.

W Connection has recently been on the receiving end of harsh criticism from T&T National Head Otto Pfister for seeking international opportunities for its players in Vietnam, but this signing will certainly bring financial benefits to the player as well as give him additional international exposure since Song Lam will be playing prestigious Asian Football Confederation Champions Cup,” the release went on to add.

The South East Asian market is seen as a major emerging large market for football, with major Premiership Clubs Chelsea and Liverpool visiting Thailand and Indonesia for their preseason this year. LA Galaxy recently visited South East Asia on a post season tour.

Hughtun is set play his first official match against Hanoi FC in the Vietnamese Super Cup on Saturday 17th December 2011 and with his talents he is expected to be a key player in the SLNA line up for their 2012 season. Hector is expected to return in August 2012 at the end of his loan period and the V-League season.
