Trinidad's Under 23 national squad won't be taking any prisoners during their upcoming tour of the island.

Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation administrator Peter Ramparsad declared: "It doesn't make a difference who we play. We are coming to play good football to entertain the people of Bermuda."

The 'Soca Warriors' will play three matches during a whirlwind tour of Bermuda next month.

The regional powerhouse will open their tour against Bermuda's Under 23s December 28 and then face off with Premier champs Devonshire Cougars December 30.

The 'Soca Warriors' will then close out their brief stopover with another clash with Bermuda's Under 23s for the inaugural BFA International Cup on New Year's Day.

The venues for next month's incoming tour have yet to be announced.

Trinidad will arrive in Bermuda without star player Jake Thompson who plays professionally with English side Southampton.

The promising midfielder has been denied permission to tour the island by his club who are anchored near the bottom of their respective division.

"His club have refused to release him just to play in a friendly tournament. This is not an official FIFA tournament and so Jake will not be coming," Ramparsad confirmed.

Like their hosts, the 'Soca Warriors' intend to use the tour as an ideal opportunity to "blood" new faces on their roster.

"We are bringing two or three players that are new to the squad to have a good look at them in the absence of others," Ramparsad said.

Prior to their arrival Trinidad's players will take part in a mini camp designed to "iron out" any remaining kinks.

The 'Soca Warriors' recently returned from the Under 20 World Cup in Egypt where they failed to advance from the group stage after losing to Italy and their hosts and drawing with Paraguay.

Rampasard confirmed that the bulk of that squad will grace Bermuda's shores over the Christmas holiday.

"This team has been kept together for the last three years - that's what you have to do," he added.

Bermuda Football Association general secretary David Sabir reckons the island's footballers stand to gain from next month's tour.

"This three match series will provide a barometer of the level of our football in comparison to our counterparts within the Caribbean region," he said.

"The BFA is committed to rebuilding the competitiveness of Bermuda football and will continue to expose our teams to top quality competition."

Bermuda have yet to name their squad. However, overseas based pros Reggie Lambe and Logan Alexander have already expressed a desire to rub shoulders with the 'Soca Warriors' and hope to be released by their respective clubs for the upcoming tour.
