Sherron Joseph scored two goals in two matches to lead Sam Boucaud to top spot in Group D of the 2012 Santa Cruz Super Cup Football League at the Brian Lara Recreation Ground, Sam Boucaud, Lower Santa Cruz.
Joseph netted the lone item to lead his team to a 1-0 shut-out of Peacemakers on Sunday July 8, before he found the target again and Dillon Kirton got the other in a 2-0 triumph over Chelsea Hannah on Friday.
The victories, the third in as many matches for the youthful Sam Boucaud carried its points tally to maximum nine with one match left against Cantaro United on Tuesday July 24, from 4.15 pm to complete its round-robin campaign.
However, with the three wins, Sam Boucaud is assured of a top two finish in the group and a quarterfinal spot along with Peacemakers (six points) which plays Pt Cumana in its final group match on Friday. Matches resume today from 4.15 pm daily.
