THE K-Mar’s Supermarket-sponsored Five-A-Side Football competition at the Multi Purpose Facility on St Paul Street came to an end last week with Mango Rose Youths securing the Under-15 League and Young Blood-the Under-18 title.
In the Under-15 Division Mango Rose Youth defeated Young Stars United with a lone item from Jean Marc Jackman.
And in the U-15 Knockout, Mango Rose Youths added another silverware to their cabinet by beating Herman Scott Street 3-1 in the final.
Later Jean Marc Jackman was voted the Most Valuable Player of the U-15 division while Omar Guerra of Herman Scott Street received the best defender award. Elijah Alleyne- another Herman Scott Street player walked away with the prize for the best goalkeeper.
The most disciplined player award went to Jamiel Hardy while the most disciplined team went to Mango Rose Youth. Oxford Youth got the best dressed team.
Later in the Under-18 division, Young Blood edged Young Strikers in a high-scoring final 5-4.
They got a hat-trick from Kieron Boyce while his brother Kevon added another in the team’s triumph. For the Strikers, Jamiel Hardy scored all four goals which still proved to be insufficient on the day.
