QUEEN’S PARK maintained their two point lead over Prisons FC in the CNG National Super League Championship Division, as Match Day 15 action took place on Tuesday.

The Parkites whipped Petit Valley United 2-0 while Prisons got a 3-0 default victory over Malabar FC. Queen’s Park have a total of 37 points, with Prisons FC next on 35. At the Dibe Recreation Ground in Long Circular, St James, the Parkites got early goals from Mikhail Walters- Dindial, after two minutes, and Benedict Barrett, in the 11th.

Prisons got three points without kicking a ball, as cellar-placed Malabar failed to show up at the YTC Ground in Arouca.

Cunupia stayed in third spot after hammering Saddle Hill Hotspur 4-0 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo.

Eduardo Guedes (11th and 41st) and Stevon Stoute (24th and 88th) netted two goals apiece. Edinburgh 500 FC were the only team to make progress on the points standings, as they edged the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT ) 2-1 at the Edinburgh 500 Recreation Ground in Chaguanas.

Atiba Alves (fifth) and Calvi Grazette (15th) were the goal-getters for the hosts, while Jamal Creighton (48th) got the consolation for UTT .

Xtra Foods Chaguanas FC and Barrackpore United played to a nail-biting 2-2 draw at the New Settlement Ground in Chaguanas.

Michael Julien put Chaguanas in front after 11 minutes but Atiba Harrison equalised in the 77th. Trent Lougheed got Barrackpore’s second in the 85th but the hosts ensured a share of the points when Neon O’Garro scored in the 88th.

Match Day 16 fixtures will be staged on Saturday.
