WASA FC continued its good run of form, claiming its third straight win, as play in the bmobile National Super League continued yesterday.
Playing at home the “Water Boys” eased past St Francois National 3-0. Keston Thomas opened the scoring in the 11th minute, before Darin Lewis made it a 2-0 advantage two minutes before half time. Mervin Brooks then put the icing on the cake, finding the net in the 58th minute, as WASA came away with the win.
The utility company, which has played all three matches at home, got the better of M&M Harvard 3-1 in its first match, before thrashing Stokely Vale 5-1in the next encounter, and has now moved to nine points.
At Canaan, Bon Accord, 1976 Phoenix FC, which edged out Valtrin FC 1-0, thanks to a 45th minute strike from Dominique Kerr, has now moved into second in the standings on six points from its three matches.
Meanwhile over at Guaracara Park, Pointe-a-Pierre, two other unbeaten teams in 2009 runners-up T&TEC and Defence Force played to a 1-1 draw.
Sherman Phillips gave Defence Force the lead when he found the net in the 22nd minute. However, the “Electricity Boys” would draw level five minutes before the end of the first half compliments of a Kevon Neaves strike, and that is how this one ended.

WASA maintained their 100-percent run in the bmobile National Super League with a 3-0 victory over St Francois Nationals in a Match Day Three encounter on Sunday, at the WASA Ground, St Joseph.
The league leaders got goals from Keston Thomas, Darin Lewis and Mervyn Brooks, in the 11th, 43rd and 58th minutes respectively, as they extended their lead over their nearest challengers — TTEC, Joe Public, Queen’s Park and St Francois Nationals — to five points.
TTEC remained in second spot after a 1-1 draw against Defence Force at Guaracara Park, Pointe-a-Pierre.
Veteran forward Sherman ‘Ants’ Phillip put Defence Force in front after 22 minutes before ex-national youth team midfielder Kevon Neaves tied the scores in the 40th.
Fourth-placed Queen’s Park registered a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Harvard, at the Dibe Recreation Ground in St James.
Striker Christon Freitas gave Harvard a 62nd minute lead before the Parkites responded with a double from midfielder Jerome Charles, in the 71st and 82nd.
Tyronne Manning notched a quickfire hat-trick, scoring in the 80th, 82nd and 85th, as Stokely Vale spanked Club Sando 3-0 at the Plymouth Recreation Ground.
In the day’s other meeting, evergreen forward Dominique Kerr netted a 45th minute winner as 1976 FC Phoenix edged Valtrin 1-0 at Canaan, Bon Accord.
Defending champs Joe Public were on a bye last Sunday. And Match Day Four action will be contested on Thursday.
