THE NATIONAL Intercol competition, sponsored by Coca-Cola, will start on Monday under a new format.

Unlike the previous years, when the North, South and East Zonal Intercol finalists, as well as the winners of the Central and Tobago Zonal Intercol contests, were involved in the National Intercol tournament.

But, this year, only the Zonal Intercol winners will participate, under a format similar to the BGTT/First Citizens Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Big Five tournament. On Monday, the spotlight will fall on Shaw Park in Scarborough, with the National Quarter Final between Speyside and Chaguanas.

The Semi-Finals will be contested on Wednesday (Princes Town hosting St Augustine) and Thursday (Fatima entertaining the winner of the Speyside- Chaguanas duel), with the Final carded for December 3.

Also on Monday will be the First Citizens Girls Intercol Final, between Scarborough and St Augustine at Shaw Park, from 3.30 pm.
