St Benedict’s College’s ‘La Romain Lions’ will host the ‘Westmoorings Tigers’, St Anthony’s College, in La Romain when the Premier Division of the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) continues with second round action today.

In total, seven games will be played nation wide in this year’s new format. Benedict’s, who defeated East Mucurapo 3-0 in their opening encounter on Wednesday, are meeting another undefeated team in St Anthony’s, who got past Trinity College 4-2 on Thursday in a match in which three red cards were issued.

In another match of undefeated teams, Naparima College will be looking to build on their season opening 2-1 triumph over San Juan North on Thursday, when they oppose St Mary’s College at Lewis Street, San Fernando.

But ‘the Saints’ are expected to be a tougher proposition, especially following their 3-1 win over St Augustine’s ‘Green Machine’ in the second match of an SSFL Premier Division campaign-opening double header at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on Wednesday. Meanwhile, hosts San Juan North clash with Fatima College, 2-1 winners over Shiva Boys on Thursday.

In other matches, Carapichaima East hosts Trinity in a game where Trinity is looking for their first points. In the East, Arima North Secondary come up against East Mucurapo Secondary, while in the South, at Guaracara Park, Shiva Boys face off against Chaguanas North, who played to a goalless draw against Carapichaima on Thursday.

At Warren Street, the ‘’Green Machine’’ will be looking to rebound with a win when they square off against Presentation College San Fernando, at home.
