Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege of San Fer­nan­do will be­gin de­fence of its Shell/First Cit­i­zens Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League (SS­FL) crown when it wel­comes Trin­i­ty Col­lege of Mo­ka, Mar­avl to the Man­nie Ramjohn Sta­di­um, Mara­bel­la from 3.40 pm to­day.

Win­ners of the new­ly for­mat­ted league last year to fol­low in the foot­steps of Na­pari­ma Col­lege and Shi­va Boys Hin­du Col­lege, the win­ner be­fore, the Shawn Coop­er-coached Pre­sen­ta­tion will start as favourites against Trin­i­ty Col­lege, which will be un­der the su­per­vi­sion of for­mer na­tion­al youth team coach Ken Elie.

Down at Morne Co­co Road, West­moor­ings, the Ronald Daniel-coached St An­tho­ny’s Col­lege which was third last year will face a stern test from long-time ri­val St Au­gus­tine Sec­ondary with Adri­an Ro­main at the helm, at St An­tho­ny’s Col­lege Ground, from 3.40 pm.

In oth­er match­es, Fa­ti­ma Col­lege buoyed by its core of play­ers who lift­ed the na­tion­al SS­FL Un­der-16 crown last year will host new­ly pro­mot­ed Bish­op’s High School at Fa­ti­ma Col­lege Ground; North Zone duo, Queen’s Roy­al Col­lege and pro­mot­ed East Mu­cu­rapo Sec­ondary meet at QRC Ground, St Clair, while St Mary’s Col­lege is at home to for­mer two-time cham­pi­ons, Na­pari­ma Col­lege at Ser­pen­tine Road, St Clair.

San Juan North Sec­ondary cur­rent­ly sit atop the 15-team ta­ble af­ter its open­ing day 3-0 de­feat of pro­mot­ed Va­len­cia Sec­ondary while Trin­i­ty Col­lege East and St Bene­dict’s drew goal­less in Thurs­day’s dou­ble-head­er at the Mar­vin Lee Sta­di­um, Ma­coya.
