Despite the muddy conditions at their respective BG T&T Secondary Schools Football League North Zone venues, neither St Anthony's College nor Malick Senior Comprehensive slipped up in the competition yesterday.

The "Tigers" romped to a 3-1 halftime lead away to Fatima College at Mucurapo Road, finishing on the better end of a 4-3 victory. And Malick got the better of Mucurapo Secondary Comprehensive 4-2 at Trinity College's Moka ground, to keep the battle for the "North" title and a place in the National "Big Five" on course for a photo-finish.

Qian Grosvenor found the net in first half injury time, then again early in the second period to put the match beyond Fatima. But there were still some nervous moments at the end for the Westmoorings side, after conceding to Fatima skipper Sheldon Bateau in stoppage time. But Bateau's second goal was the final one of the match, meaning full points for their opponents.
