Trinity East can keep the pressure on the top teams (St Augustine, San Juan and El Dorado) with maximum points away to the bottom-placed Arima at the Larry Gomes Stadium in Malabar, Arima.
With runaway North Zone leaders Fatima on a bye, today can be a chance for the chasing pack (QRC, St Anthony’s and St Mary’s, who each have six points) to make up some ground.
Second-placed QRC will make the journey to Moka, Maraval to face Trinity; St Anthony’s will square off against debutants and last-placed Woodbrook at the Police Barracks in St James and St Mary’s will host the struggling Mucurapo, the defending zonal winners, at St Clair.
Naparima can maintain their first place in the South Zone with full points away to Princes Town while Shiva Boys’ can keep up the pressure on the defending zonal champs if they can get the better of Vessigny at La Brea.
Another unbeaten team, St Benedict’s, will be fancying their chances away to the last-placed Siparia.
With Central Zone leaders Marabella on a bye, defending champs Carapichaima can take first place with a win at home to the cellar-placed Waterloo while Presentation Chaguanas will host Gasparillo, as they, like Waterloo, seek their first point of the season.
In the Tobago Zone, the top two teams, Mason Hall and Scarborough, will square off at Bon Accord while reigning champs Signal Hill will oppose Roxborough at Plymouth.
