The Manhattanville men's soccer team won its first game of the season, defeating The College of Staten Island 7-0 at the CSI Soccer Complex on Tuesday evening. Sophomore Keston George (Port-of-Spain, Trinidad & Tobago) set a new program record with a nine-point effort, netting his first hat trick of the season and also dishing out a career-high three assists in the early season victory.

The NC State men’s soccer team started its 2009 season with a 3-1 win over Winthrop at the Dail Soccer Field Tuesday night. The Wolfpack (1-0) would score twice in the first half to grab the lead, and give the impressive crowd of 1,800 much to cheer for in the second half with many near misses.

The University of Maine at Fort Kent men’s soccer team opened their season with a win over Husson University 4-0 on Alumni Memorial Field Tuesday in Fort Kent, Maine.  Sophomore forward Keith Williams II (Trinidad & Tobago) scored two goals and senior captain Emlyn Jacoby (Johannesburg, S. Africa) had three assists to lead the Bengal attack.
