Bird Song Small Stars flew past Parliament FC 5-2 on Monday night to keep its hopes alive of gaining a spot in the quarterfinals of the Eddie Hart Football League.

Playing at the Eddie Hart Savannah, Amos Walcott netted a brace to lead the scoring for Small Stars, which joins Trincity Nationals on 11 points in a battle for the fourth place out of Group One.

Macoya FC continued its good run of form when they stopped former champions House of Dread 2-1 last Thursday at the same venue to book its place in the last eight.

Despite the setback, House of Dread (12 points and one game still to be played) and group winners Paradise FC (18) will move on to the next phase of the campaign from Group One.

In Group Two, leaders Tunapuna Slappers head the race with 12 points, while Valtrin United and Frontline are locked on ten points in second and third places, respectively. Santos FC are in fourth spot on nine points.
