Overtime goal by Yearwood lifts CofC to 3-2 win over Appalachian State
A goal seven minutes and 41 seconds into the first overtime period by junior Kareem Yearwood was the difference, as the College of Charleston men’s soccer team knocked off Appalachian State, 3-2 in the first round of the 2008 Southern Conference Men’s Soccer Championships in Boone, N.C.
Yearwood and De Silva named to All-Southern Conference Teams
The College of Charleston men’s soccer team placed four players on the 2008 All-Southern Conference teams as voted on by the league’s head coaches.
Awai sparks Ospreys' senior day surge
In fitting fashion, senior Mikhail Awai sparked a second-half offensive surge for the University of North Florida men’s soccer team in its season finale and senior day, and sophomore Adam O’Neill added two goals to lift the Ospreys over Coastal Carolina at Hodges Stadium on Saturday and give UNF its highest win total since making the transition into Division I.
Cowan named to AAC All-Academic Team
Three players from the Milligan College men's soccer team were named Friday as members of the AAC All-Conference Team. Five more players were named to the AAC All-Academic Team.
George helps Red Dragons capture SUNYAC title and NCAA berth
Sophomore Andrew Schwert (Buffalo/West Seneca East) recorded a goal and an assist to lead the Cortland men's soccer team to a 2-0 win versus Brockport in the SUNYAC Tournament final at the Hall of Fame Fields. The Red Dragons improved to 10-6-3 with the win and earned an automatic NCAA berth, their first since winning the third of three consecutive conference titles in 2003. The Golden Eagles fell to 10-6-2 with the loss.

Mars Hill forward Ernest Sobers and defender Rondon Bacchus were named to the SAC All-Conference Second Team.
Crosby spearheads 2-1 win over Charlotte
Senior Kedan Crosby (St. James, Trinidad) found the back of the net in the 109th minute, leading the Rhode Island men's soccer team to a 2-1 double overtime victory over Charlotte, Friday night at the URI Soccer Complex. Making his first-ever start in goal, sophomore Peyton Warwick (Prairie Village, Kan.) earned the win for the Rams, turning away six shots on the night.
Glenn named to SSC All-Conference Second Team
The Saint Leo men’s soccer team saw two of its own honored with All-Conference Awards as senior Eusebio Montoya was named to the Sunshine State Conference First Team and Jonathan Glenn earned Second Team honors as both teams were released on Thursday afternoon.
